Net Blocker
About Net Blocker
Restrict Internet connectivity on an app-by-app basis.
This application is designed to stop applications from using the Internet, whether through Wi-Fi or mobile data (GPRS/3G/4G).
Features:
★ Restrict Internet connectivity on an app-specific basis
★ Control mobile data (GPRS/3G/4G) separately from Wi-Fi
★ Reactivate blocked networks by tapping the notification icon
Including e-book reading applications in the blocked list can enhance the functionality of "Net Blocker" by disabling Internet access while you are engaged in reading. This contributes to conserving your data plan and extending your device’s battery life.
To restrict networks for certain apps:
1. Launch "Net Blocker"
2. Select the app you wish to deny Internet access
3. Specify the types of networks you want to block
4. The "Net Blocker" app will automatically cut off Internet access when the selected app is in use
5. A new notification icon will indicate which networks are being blocked
6. Press the notification icon to reactivate the Internet connection; tap again to re-disable it
"Net Blocker" only limits network access when the specified app is active in the foreground.
It does not stop blocked apps from using the Internet while they operate in the background.
For users of Android version 4 or higher, you can limit background data access by navigating to:
Launcher > Settings > Data usage > select the app you want to restrict > enable the "Restrict background data" option.
Android version 5 (Lollipop) prevents third-party applications from controlling mobile data. It necessitates rooting the device for this feature to function.
