You can choose from a variety of ways to verify your identity, including 2-Step Verification or Passwordless Login. Important aspects of the QNAP Authenticator:

- Enables Passwordless Login and 2-Step Verification - Allows users to quickly add an account by scanning a QR code - Supports the following methods of verification:　1. Login Approval: With just a tap, you can approve a login request.　2. QR Code: To validate a login request, scan a QR code.　3. Online Verification Code: Receive a code sent from your QNAP device for verification

4. Time-based one-time password (TOTP): Automatically generate a verification code. While TOTP can be used without a connection, Login Approval, the QR Code, and the Online Verification Code all require a connection to your NAS. Third-party accounts from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, GitHub, and other service providers that have adopted the TOTP standard for authentication can also be verified using this approach.
